This is a brand new add-on called the Robots add-on which is free for download. This addon implements a robot to the game which has similar features to an iron golem except that it’s much stronger and also looks different. The robot doesn’t have any special powers currently but that is likely to change in a future update. Besides the robot you will also be able to wear a really cool and futuristic visor which is basically a custom UI for the screen.
How to spawn the robot
The iron golem has been replaced by a mysterious robot. No one really knows how it got here but it’s suspected that it comes from an alien planet. You can spawn it by building an iron block structure as seen down below and then placing a pumpkin on the top center block. (It works the same way as to spawning an iron golem.) The robot is friendly towards players and villagers. If it spots any hostile monsters those will immediately be attacked and hopefully eliminated. The behaviors a very similar to an iron golem in that sense. The only apparent difference is that it got twice as much health.
- Health: 100 hearts
- Protects villagers against against monsters
- Replaces the iron golem
Another cool thing worth checking out is the futuristic visor screen. To get this UI (user interface) screen you simply need to wear a pumpkin on your head. It doesn’t have any additional uses besides just looking really cool. The pumpkin looks just the same as before but that is likely to change in the future as it’s going to be retextured into something else such as a futuristic helmet.
